Now we build the organization to carry it further.
Since 2023, MOTHERLAND and MOTHERLAND CBO have built the model in Siaya County, season by season. Today, more than 2,000 farmers are part of our network.
In 2025 alone, we recorded 517 farmer participations across five communities and 8,946 kg of harvested beans, and 83.7% of surveyed farmers reported higher income. The W.P. Schmitz Stiftung, the Cisco Foundation, the Chancemaker Foundation and Biovision already back the work.
Project grants rarely pay for the organization behind the projects: the Local Impact Teams, Lima AI, monitoring and finance. Our 2026 budget is 230,000 euros, of which 190,000 euros are secured. For 2027 we plan with 300,000 euros, funded by our foundation partners, further grant applications and a growing 200 for MOTHERLAND circle.
