So viel einer Ernte geht in Kenia verloren, bevor sie einen Markt erreicht.That much of a harvest is lost in Kenya before it reaches a market.

Nicht wegen schlechter Arbeit, sondern weil ein System fehlt: Wissen bei der Ernte, trockene Lager, Transport, feste Abnehmer, ein fairer Preis. Und weil ausgelaugte Böden immer weniger tragen. Genau dieses System bauen wir, gemeinsam mit über 2.000 Bäuerinnen und Bauern in Siaya County.Not because of poor work, but because a system is missing: know-how at harvest, dry storage, transport, committed buyers, a fair price. And because exhausted soils yield less and less. That is exactly the system we build, together with more than 2,000 farmers in Siaya County.

Kompost statt Kunstdünger. Ein Jahr später ist der Boden dunkler, hält mehr Wasser, speichert CO₂ und trägt mehr.Compost instead of chemicals. A year later the soil is darker, holds more water, stores carbon and yields more.

Saatgut, das zurückkommtSeed that comes back

Zertifiziertes Saatgut als Darlehen. Nach der Ernte fließt es zurück in die Saatgutbank: 2025 waren es 72,1 %.Certified seed as a loan. After harvest it flows back into the seed bank: 72.1% in 2025.

Wissen bei der Ernte, trockene Lager, Transport. Damit die Bohnen auf dem Teller landen und nicht im Staub.Know-how at harvest, dry storage, transport. So the beans end up on plates, not in the dust.

Für Projekte finden wir Förderung. Für die Menschen, die diese Projekte jeden Tag möglich machen, fast nie. Genau dafür gibt es den Circle: 200 Menschen mit 50 € im Monat sind 10.000 € jeden Monat, frei einsetzbar und planbar.We can find funding for projects. For the people who make those projects happen every day, almost never. That is what the Circle is for: 200 people giving 50 € a month means 10,000 € every month, flexible and reliable.

Dabei machen wir es bewusst anders als viele NGOs: In Deutschland halten wir es schlank, mit einer Geschäftsführung und der nötigen Organisation. Jede neue Stelle entsteht in Kenia, auch die, die unsere deutsche Organisation zum Wachsen braucht.And we deliberately do it differently from many NGOs: in Germany we keep it lean, with one managing director and the organisation that is needed. Every new position is created in Kenya, including those our German organisation needs to grow.
